Thank you to everyone who came along to the third ExeterSOUP. It was fantastic to see so many people there and to hear about some of the brilliant work of local groups in Exeter.
Voters at SOUP decided to fund Restore who walked away with £130 and 5 euros to spend on furnishing the house they are planning to get for their clients. They will update us in 6 months time so that we can hear about the difference our money made. We also raised £23.75 in donations for St Sidwell’s to contribute towards the running of the Community Centre.
Restore wanted to share their thanks for your donations:
“On behalf of Restore, I will like to say a massive thank you to ExeterSOUP and everyone that came tonight. Your support means so much to us. Every penny donated will go towards furnishing the house we are hoping to get for our clients; in particular kitchen appliances. Once again thank you very much.”
Thank you so much to all our presenters on the night Ope, Emily, Lyddi and Kevin. It takes a courage to stand up in front of an audience of strangers to talk about your project, even an audience as friendly as SOUP.
A huge thank you to all the amazing volunteers who made the night go smoothly especially Patsy, Kate and John.
Thanks to Devon and Cornwall Food Association for giving us the food for tonight and to St Sidwell’s Community Centre for letting us use the café. With your generosity we are able to donate 100% of the door money to the winning cause.
The next soup will be in February, date yet to be arranged. Hope to see you there!
